TNA Sacrifice 2011 - Chyna Returns!

Having conveyed my overall feelings regarding the Jarrett/Angle feud previously, I can now approach an article updating the latest developments in the story line. As anyone who watched Impact Wrestling last week on Spike TV, Kurt Angle's mistress was finally revealed to by none other than Joanie Laurer, a.k.a. Chyna! Although not as massively built as she was back in the Attitude Era, Chyna came out looking to be in great shape. As always in the wrestling business, it is good to see familiar faces return from time to time.

TNA Wrestling - The Angle/Jarrett Feud

I've had my issues with the ongoing Angle/Jarrett feud on TNA Impact Wrestling these past few months. Most forms of entertainment are meant to be escapist fun in one way or another. You watch television dramas, read about far-away lands, play the role of the hero in video games- Entertainment is way to unwind. A way to get away from the world, if only subconsciously and only for a little while. The Angle/Jarrett feud has been hard to watch because of its basis in the real world.

TNA Impact - The Most Shocking Surprise of the Year

I want to take a moment and emphasize that I am a long time fan of the TNA wrestling promotion. I've been watching TNA since before Impact aired on Fox Sports Net and I regularly watched their $15 PPVs. I've always been impressed with the athletes in TNA and the pure spectacle of great in-ring wrestling has kept me a fan. In no uncertain terms I am a fan of TNA. That said, I am entertained by both TNA and WWE and I always try to maintain the frame of reference that the products are separate and distinct entities. As such, I normally try to avoid comparisons between TNA and WWE because such comparisons are largely irrelevant.

TNA Impact - The Future of Ric Flair

We'll be discussing some potential story spoilers concerning the 2/17/11 episode of Impact, so you might want to check back later if you haven't watched yet. Otherwise, we're just going to jump into one of the big story points from last night. The show opened by sewing the seeds of doubt between the Bischoff-led Immortal and Ric Flair.

Aftermath: Against All Odds 2011 - TNA PPV

Here are a collection of opinions regarding various topics coming out of the TNA Against All Odds 2011 PPV.

Going in order, Generation Me missed their three-way match, by default making Robbie E the new #1 Contender for the X-Division title. I was actually somewhat pleased by this unfortunate turn of events, because the all-heel Max vs Jeremy vs Robbie E match-up didn't really stimulate me from a conceptual standpoint. Plus, we got to see Kazarian in action tonight! Kaz made a strong point in his pre-match promo when he called the Jersey Shore rip-off "cheap."

TNA Impact - 02/10/11

I was excited to see TNA Impact this week. I had been dreading the new "They" angle, fearing the worst -that the eventually reveal would illicit feelings of complete indifference. Let's face it, TNA has Bischoff, Hogan, Foley, Flair, Sting, Angle, RVD, Matt and Jeff Hardy, Steiner, Anderson -a regular who's who of professional wrestling. These guys are all tops guys in the industry and if anyone is capable of elevating a property and raising ratings based on name recognition alone it is these guys.

My point is TNA doesn't need another "They."
